Hi guys, it's Lauryn! Whether it's exams or work or friendship troubles, stress is inevitable unfortunately, especially around this time of year when really all everyone wants is for it to be summer break. However, that doesn't mean that you can't take some you time to de-stress your mind and focus on yourself. So, today I'm here to talk to you about ways in which you can feel calmer and happier during stressful times. The idea for this post came from my good friend, Elisha so thanks! Let's begin...
  1. Take a break from social media. I know right, it seems impossible but seriously, it is one of the best ways to calm your mind and focus on yourself and quite simply, take a break from all of the gossip and troubles of society. By doing this, you are giving yourself time to focus and reflect on yourself which is something many people forget to do nowadays which ultimately results in more stress than necessary.                                                                                               
  2. Go for a walk. This is one of the best ways to relieve your stress as you are removing yourself from the stress stimulus physically and mentally and getting some fresh air which is great if you have been cooped up in a room for hours on end. Also, you can even get a few nice lil photos for your Instagram! (It's all about the aesthetic, right?)                                                       
  3. Make sure you get a good night's sleep. It's common knowledge that without a good night's sleep, you are not going to have enough energy to face the next day. Therefore, make sure you go to bed at the right time. Don't push yourself to stay up later, your body will thank you for those extra few hours sleep.                                                                
                                                
  4. Go out with friends. When you're going through a stressful time, it's likely that you will be mainly focused on the negatives hence why going out with friends or other people who are important to you(even your dog) is great because it gives you the chance to be reminded on why you do this hard work and the rewards you get for doing it. Something good can always come out of something bad.
